Request Police Department Tour
The Lexington Police Department is proud to offer tours for schools, youth groups, and recognized community groups - Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The tour program is designed to provide visitors with an up-close look at their local Police Department.
What You May See on a Tour:
Our tours are conducted by police officers. Tours include viewing the specialized equipment worn by officers, patrol vehicles, the briefing (line-up) room, detectives and general working areas. Due to the sensitive nature of the work conducted there, tours do not include Evidence areas.
Tour Guidelines:
Tours are offered for educational purposes with the goal of educating the public about police operations. We ask that tour groups be limited to 15 people, plus adult supervision for groups with children. Police departments are a dynamic work environment, and tours may need to be canceled or postponed and some areas may be omitted from the tour due to situational circumstances.Requesting a TourAll tours should be requested a minimum of one week in advance.
